Alpha Xi Delta’s Partnership
with Autism Speaks™

Alpha Xi Deltas across the nation proudly support Autism Speaks.  Alpha Xi Delta partnered with Autism Speaks in 2009 and has since raised more than $2 million dollars for the world’s largest autism advocacy organization. Autism Speaks is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism, and advocating for the needs of individuals affected by the disorder.

With one in 68 children diagnosed with autism and no known cure, Alpha Xi Deltas everywhere are committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by autism.

Beta Xi Helps Autism Speaks Find
the Missing Pieces

Dunk_A_FuzzieThe Beta Xi Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta is excited to bring Autism Speaks to the Marietta College campus and community!

Our chapter hosts a variety of philanthropy events each year to increase autism awareness while raising money for prevention, treatments, and research for this complex and puzzling disorder. Beta Xi hosts yearly fundraising for events like Puzzle Palooza and Dunk-A-Fuzzie. Alpha Xi Delta also participates in our nearest Walk Now for Autism Speaks and we always light it up blue for World Autism Awareness Day.

In addition to working with Autism Speaks, Beta Xi partners with the Autism Center of Southeastern Ohio (ACSO)  to help combat autism on a local level. Every semester, our sisters spend their time volunteering at several ACSO fundraisers and philanthropy events. Not all Alpha Xi Delta chapters have the opportunity to directly help local children and families affected by autism. The sisters of Beta Xi are grateful for the chance to experience Alpha Xi Delta’s philanthropy in such a hands on way and truly make an impact in our community.
